How To Jailbreak And Enter DFU Mode With a Broken Home or Power Button– By the newly release redsn0w 0.9.14b2 the hackers have added a new feature to redsn0w which is the ability to jailbreak and enter DFU mode with a broken home or power button, they have create a firmware file that will push your device into DFU mode once a normal restore through iTunes is completed check the tutorial below.

Tutorial Required

Download the latest version on iTunes.

Download iOS 5.1.1 firmware from here

Download RedSn0w 0.9.14b2 for Win.

Download RedSn0w 0.9.14b2 for Mac

Supported devices: iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

How To Jailbreak And Enter DFU Mode With a Broken Home or Power Button

Step 1: After downloading redsn0w extract it, by right clicking on it and choose“Extract All“.

Step 2: Open RedSn0w main window click Extras –> Even more –> DFU IPSW, and click OK

Step 3: Then you will be informed by the message shown on the screen below then Click OK.

Step 4: Now you have to select the iPSW firmware file you downloaded in first step then click Open.

Step 5: RedSn0w will now proceed to create a DFU Mode IPSW.

Step 6: You will be informed by the message below that your IPSW has been created successfully, then Click OK

Step 7: Open now iTunes then Connect your device to your PC and hold down theShift key and click Restore, then choose your newly created “ENTER_DFU IPSW file”  as the icon below and click OK, This will restore your device and place the device into DFU mode upon restore. You should just see a black screen once the restore is finished.
