How can you make an iPhone ringtone from itunes for unjailbroken iPhone ? i have received many comments from our readers regarding the way to make a ringtone from iTunes on unjailbroken iPhone i will show you in this post the steps on how to make an iPhone ringtone from iTunes.

Step 1: Launch iTunes 10.6.1
Step 2: Find and select the song you want to make a ringtone on iTunes.
Step 3: Right-click on the song name that you want to make a ringtone and select “Get Info” then click on the “Options tab”

Step 4: Select the playback period you want but make sure that it’s not more than 30 seconds as you see on the above screen.
Step 5: Now click “OK” and then right click on the song again, and select“Create AAC version” to create a new version of the song with the 30 second interval you specified.
Step 6: Locate the created 30 second song in iTunes (You can search for the song at the right top corner) then right click on the located song and click on“Show in Windows Explorer”
Step 7: Now you have to rename the extension of the song you want from .m4a to .m4r you will be informed by the message below then click “Yes”
Notes: in order to rename the song extension you have to go to “My Computer” tap on “Tools” then select “Folder Options” and tap “view” and uncheck “Hide extensions for known file type” the click OK
Step 8: After changing the song extension double click on it then it will take you back again to iTunes library as a “Tones” and you can do what you want with it
Step 9: Sync it with your iPhone and assign to contacts as usual with custom iPhone ringtones
